This year’s version of Copper Dome Pils is a Kellerbier or Zwickelbier that is left unfiltered to retain all the wonderful German malt aroma & flavor, that can be reduced by filtering. As we started sampling this brew early in the fermentation process, we noticed how wonderful the malt character was developing as it matured. The brewers decided to leave it alone to settle naturally, to retain as much of that light bread crust nose & clean malty flavor that is so mush the profile of a true German Pilsner. We hopped it with just a touch of German Tettnang noble hops to give it a slight spice balance. Expect a deep gold brew with a big white head & a slight unfiltered haze & the flavors of a true German Pilsner. It might take a little longer, but it’s worth it. Prost.
